Holiday Season

Well, its that time of year.  Time to bake cookies, make gifts, and pull out the decorations.  I love Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years celebration.  My problem with it is the rush, the gimme-gimme attitude.  Its supposed to be time to enjoy family and be full of joy, but people have pulled it totally out of wack.  They have lost the true meaning of the season.  The joy of family, friends and a new year.  I love that part of the season and I don't think anyone has that anymore.  Do you?  Do you slow down and enjoy the season?  Do you have any fun holiday family stories?

Lightsabers

 For Christmas I made Abby, Daniel, Tim, Ben and Joanna light sabers.  There not flimsy plastic ones either.  I used 2' of 3/4" thick PVC piping with 2 layers of installation wrapped with duck tape and then used colored duck tape, regular duck tape and electric tape to make them look like light sabers.

The Wii

My Grandma and a friend of hers bought this Wii for us as a Christmas present(Thank You).
Ever since we got it no one has played the game cube witch everyone loved, but the new favorite is definitely the Wii. We just got a new controller and WiiPlay (witch if I have any say is really fun), it has Shooting - ducks, Charge - cows that you have to get across the finish line or lose, Fishing, Person search - you have to find 2 matching people/the fastest person/the person your using or find the person who is does not match anyone else, Table tennis, Laser hockey, Battle - you have a tank and there are a few other tanks that you have to destroy, Bubbles - there is a shape (of a person) that you have to do the bubbles can not drop to the bottom of the TV and Pool. It is TONS of fun.

Easy Christmas Gift Ideas 6#

Here`s today`s idea:
Take a scrabble piece and glue a piece of scrapbook paper on the front, then take sanding paper and sand it, after it dries. Take a piece of wire and glue it to the back (use super glue), then curve the wire so it forms a hook and hang on the tree.

Here is today`s idea:
Take one penny and wire (we use telephone wire from a friend who does work on the telephone wires and the wire he gave us is old and can`t be used) and wrap the wire in a X shape around the penny, then take any left over wire and make a hook. Now hang on tree.

Today`s idea:
Take a shell with holes in the top and paint them any color you want, add glitter on top of the paint, then thread a piece of ribbon into the hole and tie. There now you have a lovely beachy looking ornament for your tree.

Christmas Gift Ideas 3#

Today`s idea is for wrapping paper:
Take a Huge peace of blank paper and then find a stamp you like and then get a bunch of different colored stamp pads. Lay out the paper, and use the stamp to decorate the paper in different colors. Later you can use it wrap a present.

Easy Christmas Gift Ideas 2#

Here`s today`s Idea:
Take bottles (empty glass bottles) and fill with sand. Then take shells and mix them in put a lid on and shake (gently). Now you have your own little beach at home.

My Christmas

For Christmas I went to my Grandparents house. I got slippers, a shawl, books, online scrap booking set, a blanket, a folder, a teddy bear named Pinky, a pink top, a folder and a note book. It was super fun.

Gifts and Jesus

Christmas is not all about gifts. The real meaning of Christmas is Jesus`s birth is what we celebrate Christmas. I mean if Jesus had not come to earth then we would not be able to take him as our savior and go to heaven to be with him.

Cookie day

Yesterday my whole family went over a friends house and made cookies. I made six cookies my sister Devorah made seven Abby made eight Daniel made two and Timothy made two that makes 25!!!!

Snow days

I feel the snow cold against my body.
Birr I shiver inside my nice warm clothes.
The snow falls heavily beside Me.
I make snowmen, snow angels, snow balls and big footprints.
Snow is white and fluffy like whip cream (yum).
You can build snow castles.
Its like a winter wonder land!
I love when the snow is up to my waist!
You can take buckets fill them up and pad them down and make little houses.
The snow looks like a big white blanket.
The snow is sparkling in the sun.
I throw snow balls at Devorah.
She throws snow balls back at me.
So I push her into a big pile of snow.
I then make a snow castle and snow fort.
After playing in the snow I go inside and heat my rice bag up.
I have some hot-hot coco
I cuddle under blankets and watch a movie.

Christmas

I love to give and make presents. I really like to make and give presents at Christmastime. I love that time of the year. Do you? I also like to get Christmas presents. Its sooo fun. What do you do for Christmas?

THE CHRISTMAS STORY

Once there was a women named Mary. One day Mary was knitting a shawl when a angel named Gabriel appeared!! Mary was afraid. Gabriel said: Do not be afraid for you have found favor in the eyes of the lord among all other women. You will give birth to a son and you will give call him Jesus. Mary was engaged to a carpenter named Joseph. When Joseph heard of this he was worried and was about to break the engagement. But an angel came to him and said: Take Mary to be your wife. So he took Mary to be his wife. Then the king said: That everyone had to go back to the town were born to be taxed. So Joseph took Mary with him to Bethlehem every inn they went to said: We do not have any room. But a inn keepers wife took pity on Mary and said: There is room in our stable. Mary gave birth to Jesus in the stable and clothed him in swaddling clothes and laid him in a manger. A shepherd saw a star and followed it. It led him to Baby Jesus!!
He shouted for joy and praised God.
